Highlights

Taylor Swift has been showing her boyfriend Travis Kelce public support by appearing at many of his football games in the last few months. But it hasn’t always been easy for the singer, as she was welcomed to a booing crowd at Kelce’s Chiefs game against the New England Patriots.

When Taylor arrived at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Sunday, December 17, she was decked out in red and white – the signature colors for Travis’ team. But upon seeing her famous face, some Patriots fans began booing.

Taylor didn’t seem bothered by the negative response, as she proceeded to watch the entire game and shout loudly for her athlete boyfriend. She also hasn’t publicly addressed the boos.

Travis Says Taylor Wasn’t Bothered By The Haters

But Travis and his brother Jason Kelce directly commented on the crowd’s recent reaction to Taylor during the December 20th episode of their podcast New Heights – the same podcast where Travis mentioned his interest in Taylor, only for them to start dating after she caught wind.

“They showed Taylor at the game,” Travis told his older brother, emphasizing that the other team’s fans were clearly intimidated by Taylor’s presence. “You don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for someone wearing the opposite colors."

“Just shows you how amazing that girl is,” the football star went on. “They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen.”

Travis explained that while Taylor was aware some people were booing for her, she was more focused on the many audience members who were cheering in excitement over her appearance.

Taylor Swift has been happily dating Travis Kelce for the last several weeks, but before him she had plenty of older boyfriends.

"There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing. But for the most part, everyone was f-------- screaming their tail off for her," Travis continued, adding that he was "trying to keep it cool" on his end as the booing happened.

“It was fun, man. … Taylor’s on record saying that stadium was one of the funnest that she’s played at. So for them to show her, shout-out to the Patriots for doing that," Travis concluded.

Travis And Taylor Are Used To Backlash

Travis and Taylor have been dating since the summer, and it’s become commonplace for the pair to show up at each other’s events – Travis has made multiple appearances at Taylor’s Eras concerts, while she’s a regular fixture at his Chiefs games.

Things are reportedly heating up between the two. Not only do headlines say they’re going to spend the holidays together (in his hometown of Kansas, no less), there’s been a lot of buzz about a potential engagement.

Nevertheless, there’s been some concern from their inner circle over the quick-paced relationship. While Travis’ family has expressed safety concerns, given how the romance has catapulted him into a fame he’s never experienced before, some of Taylor’s friends are reportedly cautious about Travis’ intentions.

One report claims Selena Gomez gave Taylor a warning, while another said her friend Gigi Hadid was suspicious, though Gigi later directly denied the reports. Despite the haters – or should we say booers – Taylor and Travis are clearly continuing to go strong.
