Lil Pump is making some progress toward his massive tax debt with the Internal Revenue Service. According to court documents, the rapper made a payment of nearly $90,000 and the IRS has released the tax lien they had slapped him with last year.

The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, paid $89,378.68 toward the taxes he owed on his 2019 earnings, according to Radar. Last year, reports claimed that Pump had failed to pay his tax bill and was in debt to the IRS to the tune of $1.6 million prompting the IRS to hit the rapper with a tax lien on his $5 million Miami home.

Pump, irked by the reports, took Instagram to deny the lien and told his 15 million Instagram followers not to believe everything they read on the internet.

“Do not believe the internet, that s--t is all cap bro,” Pump told his followers while flaunting his expensive jewelry. “90 thousand that is on my wrist right now. Another 90, that’s on my neck. Don’t play with my body.”

The Harvard Dropout singer has developed a reputation for flexing his riches on social media. Pimp frequently films himself buying jewelry, destroying luxury vehicles, and tossing around cash, despite his difficult financial situation.

He continued, “Look, I have made over 15 million dollars, you know what the tax bill on 15 million dollars is? Bh, 90k ain’t s--t to me. Stop playing with my body.”

Pump is a prominent member of the SoundCloud rap scene. His 2018 song Gucci Gang helped him achieve international fame. Gucci Gang peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went platinum five times.

The IRS isn’t the only one going after Pump for unpaid debts. In August, American Express sued the rapper and his company, Lil Pump Touring, for breach of contract, claiming that the rapper stiffed them on a $26,233.24 bill.

Pump might have tried to settle his debts with the bank because they ultimately decided to dismiss their lawsuit against him, but the bank has the option to refile the suit at a later date.

For what it's worth, Celebrity Net Worth estimates the rapper has amassed a fortune of $8 million over his career.
