Cody Calafiore Is The Winner Of "Big Brother 22"

Six years after losing in the finals of Big Brother 14, Cody Calafiore completed his Big Brother redemption story.

Cody was crowned the winner of Big Brother 22 on Wednesday night's finale, taking home the $500,000. He defeated Enzo Palumbo by a unanimous 9-0 vote, becoming just the second person to sweep the votes in the finals.

Dan Gheesling did so against Memphis Garrett (who returned for Big Brother 22) in Big Brother 10.

Cody pieced together perhaps the greatest single-season performance in the show's history. For starters, he wasn't nominated once all season.

He won four Head of Household competitions plus the Power of Veto four times. He dominated the entire game socially, making zero enemies and finding ways to keep the target off his back.

Cody put a cherry on top of his incredible showing by evicting his close ally, Nicole Franzel, on finale night. These two worked together on Big Brother 14, and they had a final two deal in place.

But Cody ultimately decided to take Enzo to the end, much to Nicole's surprise. It marked the first true blindside of the summer.

Cody seemingly learned his lesson from Big Brother 14. That year, Cody decided to take his best friend, Derrick Levasseur, to the finals over Victoria Rafaeli. Derrick played a much better game that summer, and it was pretty obvious that he was going to beat Cody in the end.

Cody was criticized for staying loyal to Derrick, who wound up winning the $500,000 prize. But he made the most of his second Big Brother opportunity, becoming just the third person to reach the finals twice - along with the aforementioned Dan Gheesling (runner-up in season 14) and Paul Abrahamian (the runner-up in seasons 18 and 19).

Dan and Cody are the only players in the show's history to finish in both first and second place. Following his excellent showing this summer, Cody certainly belongs in the discussion for the greatest Big Brother player of all time.
