Bella Thorne is in mourning. Ex boyfriend and rapper, Lil Peep died on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. He was 21. The news was confirmed by his music manager, Adam Grandmaison, to The Guardian. Lil Peep, a Long Beach New York native was a rapper on the rise who got his start on YouTube and Soundcloud.
The rapper was also on the fashion scene, attending the Balmain Menswear Spring/Summer 2018 show, as well as sitting front row at Paris Fashion week. In spite of his creative ambitions, he had a history of emotional disturbance that included depression and drug use. At the time of his death, he was touring in Arizona.
In an eerie video posted to social media just hours before his death, Peep confirmed that he was under the influence of prescription drugs and other substances, but reassured his fans that he was fine stating, "I'm good, I'm not sick." Officers investigating his death stated that after reviewing the crime scene and searching the tour bus, there was evidence that the rapper's death was an overdose of Xanax.

Several members of the rap world paid tribute to Lil Peep via social media. Music producer Marshmello wrote, "Peep was the nicest person. Hanging out with him and talking to him about music, the song ideas we were going to do together and touring was so amazing."Fall Out Boy bassist and songwriter Pete Wentz, who has often spoken out on Mental Health Awareness, stated, "I had just been talking to Lil Peep on Instagram like last week." I don't know, this one really, really hit me hard. He's so young."
The late rapper and the Disney star, Bella Thorne dated as recently as mid September. Their brief romance made headlines when they were spotted kissing via dailymail.com. Thorne appeared to be devastated by the loss. She expressed her heartbreak and grief of the tragic news in several posts on social media.
In a video which has since been removed from Twitter, Thorne spoke through tears stating, "If anyone out there who's a Lil Peep fan, you guys know how talented he was. You guys know how great he was. Well, he was even more f--g great as a person." She followed up the video with several tweets, saying: "I don't know what to say. Peep you deserved more out of life. Life didn't do you great justice."
